Sheer Accessory

Who doesn’t love a little sheer?? And by little, I mean I own probably too much! I cant help it though, it really fits almost every season because it paired with jeans, pants or even shorts for a cute spring look! Sheer has had quite the year for fashion, and it can be found in most stores! A sheer top is really easy to dress up for going out too. If you want to wear it out, pair it with a cute necklace or even just a bandeau instead of a tank top underneath. My sheer top is from T.J. Maxx and my jeans are from American Eagle. I also love my yellow necklace from Etsy. This look is so simple and fun to emulate. Have fun with it and wear it during the day and then totally change it with some accessories for going out!

All About Aqua

13th May 2014

post27

Hello! Sorry for the week long hiatus! Spring break happened, school happened, life just happened. But, I am back on my fashion grind! Today I am wearing a hippie styled Green shirt with aqua and tan accents with my aqua Joe Jeans. I love this look because this top is so embellished with a print, that I personally think it looks better with a bold pant opposed to a dark wash jean. Lesson for the day: fashion can be anything you want, but try to keep it balanced. I am so happy I have these jeans because like I said, this outfit just looks better with pants that are as bold as the top! Plus, how fun is aqua?? (If you can’t tell, I am MORE than ready for spring!)

Did you wear and spring colors today?

Nothing but Neon

13th May 2014

post26

Today I wore a pair of my absolute favorite pants…well, leggings. I wore my neon floral leggings from Kohls. I chose to wear a top from Forever 21. I also have a long black tank top under my shirt. These leggings are awesome because like many other pieces you have seen in my blog, they are very versatile. I can easily turn this look into a going out look with just a few additions. I would remove the longer tank top on the bottom and pair this look with black pumps or wedges instead of boots. These leggings attracted a lot of attention today, but if you are confident, it should not matter whether you’re receiving attention from strangers or not, even though it does feel nice to have your style noticed! So goal for the week, find a bold print and totally rock it. If it is something you have been wanting to try, do it. Honestly, what could be holding you back?

Do you opt for any bold or neon prints today?

Flannel Forward

13th May 2014

post25

Today I felt being very casual chic, it’s my last day of class before spring break, so why not?? I decided to wear one of my favorite fall/winter staples, my flannel shirt from PacSun. I paired that with my navy jeggings, also from PacSun and finished the look with my Madden Girl boots. I am not much of a country girl, and this look can appear to be country, but I avoided that by wearing jeggings and fall boots, versus light denim jeans and cowboy boots (which if that is your thing, go for it!) My hair is styled in a messy side braid and Raisin Rage lipstick to complete my look. This was a very quick outfit to put together and I think it looks casual, and chic, which is exactly what I was going for!

Be safe on spring break, and don’t forget to pack your most fabulous fashions!

Mid-day midfriff

post24

Today I wore another versatile outfit. I am wearing black high waist pants from Forever 21, a black cami and bluish/grey midriff top also from Forever 21. I love the simplicity of this look and I also being able to change this from a day look to a going out look. The only thing you need to change is to replace the black tank top, with a black bandeau top. My pants are higher waist, so you really aren’t showing as much as your stomach as it may seem. Ditch the boots, and pair it with a pair of black pumps. This look is so fun and so simple.

A quick note: just because you buy something to go out in, does not mean you can not wear it on a typical day! Many things can be styled down or up!

How are you being versatile with fashion today?

Floral and Lace

post23

Walking in the ice downpour this morning was not my idea of how to start my day, but hey, stuff happens so you have to deal with it. If anything was going to make me feel better about the weather, I knew it would be a great outfit. Today, I decided to wear a sheer floral Alic Kris top with my pink lace high waist shorts. This outfit would be great with just the shorts, but because of the ice storm today, I decided to wear some grey tights to really pull out the outline of the leaves in my top. I finished this look with my brown Madden Girl boots. This outfit is very fun and I felt confident wearing it. That is what fashion is all about. You need to learn to be yourself and feel great about it! Want to know something else about this outfit? It cost a whopping 10 dollars! T.J. Maxx is an amazing place to find deals and this is where I found both the top and shorts! Fashion is fun, and it can be affordable! Do not hold yourself back!

Did you get stuck in the ice today? (hopefully while wearing some kick-ass boots!)

Black and Brown

Today is pretty chilly outside, but I was really in the mood to wear a pair of my favorite shorts (tights are wonderful for this reason). I am wearing a pair of Lauren Conrad brown leather shorts, a black tank top, and a black sweater from Forever 21. I love the black and brown combo and I think this color duo is great for fall and winter (which is another reason I chose to wear it today because HOPEFULLY spring is around the corner!) I also like that no matter the weather, you can wear whatever you want thanks to tights, leggings, etc. Do not hold yourself back from pieces you are ecstatic about!

Chilling Cut-Outs

13th May 2014

post21

Even though today is extremely frigid, I knew our classrooms would be warm, so I decided to wear my Free People cut-out top from the Buckle. (This top can also be seen worn by Selena Gomez in a Wizards of Waverly Place episode, cool right?) Anyways, I also decided to wear my grey jeans from Express and finished my look with a BKE by the Buckle necklace. This look is very simple and the multi-colored top with cut-outs makes it super memorable. This top is also easy to pair different jeans with (dark denim, or even colored). It is nice to have a piece like this in your wardrobe because you can wear it completely different each time and it will give you several looks/outfits! Also, because of the cut-outs at the shoulders, this is perfect for fall/winter paired with a jacket or even in spring with a pair of shorts.

Make your fashion versatile today!

A little polishing

13th May 2014

post20

Today, I decided that I really wanted to look polished and professional. I actually work on Mondays and Wednesdays after school, so what better day than a workday for this look?? I am wearing a deep purple J. Lo top from Kohls, and patterned jeans from American Eagle. The jeans have the deep purple accent so it really looked perfect with my top. I also decided to pull my hair back just for a different look. Changing your fashion style and appearance can be really fun and super easy! Do not let yourself become too comfortable to the point where you are scared to try something new. There are so many looks out there to try. This is the part of fashion that can be so fun and really help you to create an impression!

A dash of color blocking

13th May 2014

post19

A big fashion trend that I have been noticing for awhile (many in the upcoming 2013 lines) is color blocking. I think this can make quite a statement if the right pieces are worn together. Today, I chose to wear my black Guess jeans, with a tank top from Wet Seal and a jacket from Charlotte Russe. I think this was just enough color from the jacket to pull my look together and really make the color blocking apparent. For a more obvious look, I would pair this outfit with a solid black tanktop to really set off my coral jacket. Outfits like this are very simple to create and really give off a polished complete look. Simplicity, in more cases than none is best.

What do you think about color blocking?
