Today is all about Spring and Summer staples we all should have. These few key pieces can really make your wardrobe broaden because they can be styled differently each time you wear them. Plus, they are all really fun to create new looks with as well.

Leather Shorts:  Just say…YES. I think these are necessary for a few reasons. 1. They can look casual and can be worn during the day, and then you also dress them up again to go out in. 2. Black leather goes with mostly everything. 3. This is an edgy piece that can look innocent, fun and flirty at the same time. Don’t question it, just buy a pair. These were actually on sale at Urban Outfitters for $25.

Printed bandeaus: These are one of my favorite spring and summer staples because once again they are versatile for going out or just worn casually. A printed bandeau can spice up any outfit. Case and point: my cut-off t-shirt today looks less boyish with the fun bandeau underneath. These are meant to give your look a little pop of detail, and even solid colored bandeaus are just as fun to wear.

Headbands: I am really into the boho chic style. I love prints and I have recently started wearing more headbands like the one I have on in this photo. I chose a headband that was close to my hair color because I wanted the detail to be more subtle so I could wear it with more pieces. I do have more that are bolder than this one, and I choose to wear these when I really want to rock a statement piece. For today, I wanted my statement to be my cut-off and bandeau, so I opted for my more subtle headband (don’t worry, when I say subtle, there is still plenty of jewels on it.)

There are more staples that are completely appropriate for spring and summer and you will see them featured on my blog as I wear them, but for today, these are three of the main ones you will see reappearing this season. Give a few (or even just one) a try! You can create so many different looks with just one of these staples.
