New Hair, Don’t Care

Today was as typical as it gets for a day with my family. A day of “relaxing” and getting nails done quickly turned into an all day, spontaneous chase for dresses for a wedding next weekend. This meant we had to drive about an hour out of town, meaning I had a meager 10 minutes to get ready. This is always a fun challenge. With everyone making me hustle, I threw together a look that was made to run errands all day, and still managed to give my favorite combination of a little edge and sass.

I decided to wear my leggings with a loose tank and sweater because this was 1. super comfortable and 2. Made trying on dresses and other clothing not as challenging. I chose to wear my tank with the skulls to give my look more edge. Being rushed and only having 10 minutes to get ready is hardly an excuse to not look put together.

While shopping for dresses, I made another rash decision to color my hair…again. I have been nearly every shade under the sun, so today, I decided to try the one color I’ve always refused…platinum blonde (and yes, mom has had way too much fun with it calling me Khaleesi.) But once again, I love the way it turned out, and my outfit I chose to wear today ended up being the perfect look to debut this style. I’ve been told that changing your hair means changing your wardrobe, but I do not believe this to be true. I do believe this will make outfits look different, and I do love a challenge.

Spontaneity can really be so rewarding. Risks, especially with fashion and hair don’t always work out how we want, but how can you know if you never try? Take some risks, and don’t make excuses.
