Chic and Sun-Kissed

Today was a nice surprise for a couple reasons. 1. It was basically summer outside meaning I could finally break out my shorts (hopefully for good). 2. I could FINALLY wear this tank top as it was purposed, and 3. The Cowboys did NOT, I repeat did NOT draft #JohnnyFootball (at least in the first round).

Ok, back to business.

As you have seen from previous posts, I have worn this top quite a few times. I will say it time and time again, you can always make several outfits if you have a few key pieces. This white tank top would definitely be one of my key pieces. It is simple, plain and because it is white, it can be worn repeatedly with different pieces creating a completely new look. This top is styled more as a crop top, so I think pairing it with high-waisted shorts/skirts/pants/jeans is definitely the way to go (see, right there, 4 different looks.)

Just because we are in spring/summer, does not mean prints are about to fade away. I think that this is the best time to wear them, honestly. With flowers blooming, why not rock a signature print of the season? This look was fun today because my shorts are floral printed, and my top has floral embroidery.

With the sun finally shining, have a little fun mixing some looks together. Find one (or a few) key pieces and start creating different looks for different days with them. This will not only expand your closet, but it will also save you money (two things we all love, right?)

Steal my look today: Top (TJ Maxx) Shorts (Kimchi Blue, Urban Outfitters).

**I am actually wearing just a black bandeau under my top, so for an even different look you could add a bolder color bandeau, or just wear a cami if you feel more comfortable.**
