A White Blank Page

I love days when a good song is stuck in my head. Fortunately, today this song was “White Blank Page” by Mumford and Sons. This song is definitely in my top 5 favorite songs ever (and it’s incredible live.) When I woke up to this song today, I took it as a sign to wear my Mumford and Sons t-shirt I bought at their concert this time last year. I will always remember that night because it was one of the best i’ve ever had and it all last minute. Honestly though, how can you beat awesome music with one of your best friends? You can’t.(Thanks again, Travis, and ps…we’re going again!!!)

One of my favorite parts of a concert is buying a t-shirt at the end. Call me crazy, but I will wait in an hour long line so I can buy the design I want. I know most people probably collect concert tickets (guilty of that one also, if the band was awesome) but I am guilty of collecting band t-shirts. They are a symbol of more than just your favorite type of music, because whenever I wear mine, I’m always taken back to that moment of standing (usually against all types of strangers) and just singing my heart out and just feeling a sense of freedom and alive in that moment. This is what music does for me, and anything that takes me back to that is an obvious purchase for me.

Band t-shirts are surprisingly versatile. Because they are so casual, you can wear them with basically anything like jeans, leggings or even shorts. I decided to dress mine up today and throw a floral blazer over it because this Mumford and Sons t-shirt is plain white with a black design. I know most t-shirts aren’t this simple, but you can always opt for a more simple classic black blazer to throw over more detailed band t-shirts. I paired my t-shirt with my black leggings and new booties to add some edge to my overall look.

Pull those concert t’s out of your closet (I know you have them) and style them up. Make more use of them, because at some point that music took you to a good place.

Steal my look today: Blazer: LC by Lauren Conrad (Kohl’s and for $7!!!) Leggings: Carson’s ($4.99!) Mumford and Sons Concert Tee: At the concert but I’m sure you can find it online Booties: (DSW for $14! Hurry while they still have them!)
