Sweet and Simple

Today it hit high of 72 degrees! (insert praise emoji) And although it didn’t last for long before the dark clouds overtook the sky, it was just long enough to enjoy the rest of the day. (Even though my nephews were given their first raincoats today and I all I wanted to do was dance in it with them.)

This is one of my favorite transitions for fashion. I love cooler days where I can wear a tank top or like today, a romper and pair it with an over-shirt of some sort and of course finish it with my favorite combat boots.

One of the best parts of this outfit today is that it cost me, maybe $15 for both pieces. (End of season sales are a beautiful thing.) I think the best part of this outfit is that each piece can be worn together, or separately, meaning it gives you SO much to work with and so many different outfit combinations. Once again, this is the perfect way to really stretch your closet, save money and look fabulous all at the same time, and who doesn’t love that?

This look is incredibly easy to recreate. What makes it so simple is the fact that both pieces are solid colors. I am a HUGE advocate for patterns, but sometimes, keeping it even more simple is key. I think this is great street style look because regardless of how simple it looks, the boots really give it an edge. Once its warmer, a pair of black, or even printed sandals would complete this outfit and give it an overall different feel.

I’m really excited to branch out and try different styles this season. I do not think that I have a set “style” but I do like to put my own spin on every outfit I put on. I have to say so far, the “edgier” style is really growing on me, I think because it makes me feel empowered, and why shouldn’t you wear what makes you feel good? Exactly. You should.

Sometimes, like today, simplicity is key, other days, you just want to go crazy and express yourself. Do it, this is why fashion exists.
