Another beautiful day it has been, and then I remember we are suppose to be getting 1-3 inches of snow… so why not take advantage of this weather while we have it?

Today I want to talk about trends. Trends can be tricky because you never really know how long they will last (ie hair feathers, I do really miss those) but today I am wearing three different trends that I am determined to keep current because I love all three of them.

1. The printed pant: This has been one of my favorite looks for a long time (look through my older posts and you’ll understand.) These are so fun to wear as a statement and they are easy to dress up or down. I also love mixing prints. With these pants, I would wear a white top with black stripes because its still subtle enough to not completely clash with the pant. I look this look today because wearing a midriff gives the look a more interesting appeal and it looks better when wearing a longer jacket like I am because it breaks it up nicely.

2. Midriff tops: Again, one of my staples year round. Midriffs are fun because you can wear a higher pant and it looks so simple and complete. Midriffs are perfect for most seasons, and when paired with a jacket, you can wear them on warmer days in winter. I think midriffs are a great way to show off your confidence also because you should embrace your body, and if you want to show it off, by all means, go for it.

3. Wedge sneakers: I can’t believe I’m about to type this, but I LOVE these. I always told myself I would never buy these things, but I found them on sale and decided to give them a try. They just give an overall “edgy” feel to any look. These also look awesome with just leggings.

So the overall lesson today, give the trends a chance because you may fall in love with them. I would never had bought these shoes in the past, but I am so happy I did because I love wearing them and finding different looks to wear them with. You can make any trend work as long as you are confident. Have fun with fashion, it is suppose to express who you are, so show yourself off!
