It’s right, just not RIGHT now.

Today started with one of my best friend’s bridal shower. It was incredibly fun and the whole wedding process is just exciting. So, congrats Ashley!

Moving on, today I learned an incredibly valuable lesson. You must find the good in every single situation you face. I know this seems a tad cliche, but it’s true. I know first hand that life does not always go according to your plan, but with that, I have learned you need to keep pushing for what you really want. I refuse to settle in any aspect of my life and the one thing that keeps me going is having faith and knowing it will all work out how it’s meant to be.

I have found that finding the good and being the positive when it seems there isn’t at all helps to conquer the negativity. Yes, it can be difficult being the better person, but having this mentality will lead your farther and make you feel better at the end of the day. And honestly, who wants to be miserable? I’m not saying you need to ecstatic all day, but if you’re upset about something, find something to make you smile. This leads me to my outfit today.

Three weeks ago I was suffering from insomnia (like majorly, but thankfully ‘Sex and The City’ happened to be on, yes, for three hours). To distract myself from the thought of being unable to sleep, I browsed my Instagram and found the most perfect leggings I have ever seen, and of course I am talking about ‘Star Wars’ leggings (insert freak out). I HAD to have them. When I googled them, I found them for $85…and that just isn’t doable. If you have followed my blog from the beginning, you know I am a bargain shopper, so thats exactly what I did. I found them on Amazon for $7.99+ free shipping (insert even bigger freak out)!!

I knew I would have to wait a bit for them to arrive, and I have been distracted with wedding planning and jobs, so they really haven’t crossed my mind. Well, today I was having a pretty lousy day after the bridal shower and the minute I arrive home, I see the package on my bed. Instantly, my day completely flipped. All it took was something as small as a pair of ‘Star Wars’ leggings. This is the little thing that completely turned my day around and it is so simple for you to do too. I love them and every time I wear them, it will remind me that they were the “little bit of good” that made me have a good day. Do not apologize for being a good person. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being happy or optimistic. I will forever be an optimist (and the minute you try raining on that parade by calling yourself a “realist”) will not affect me because I honestly, I do not care that you are trying to take away my happiness, but good luck! Just do yourself a favor and find your “little bit of good” every single day. I hope it makes a difference for you!
